Low profile wiring connects the LED light bars to the Power Trolley, which is attached to the top wheel of your door, while a separate power cable and adapter connects your power outlet to the in-track Power Switch. The moment your garage door fully opens, the patented two-part power switch connects, instantly flooding the space under your garage door with light. Once your garage door begins closing, the power safely disconnects, and illumibar automatically shuts off. No! Glad you asked. If you can change a car tire or assemble a basic piece of flat-pack furniture, you should be able to install illumibar in around 30-60 minutes.
You'll need a proper step stool/ladder, power drill, scissors, a screwdriver, and proper safety glasses.
illumbar plugs into a standard 3-prong 110V-120V household outlet. So, if you have one of those available, you're all set! Just plug in the AC power adapter that converts to low voltage range 24v DC for the light system.
